So, I've fully painted the Smaug model from Games Workshop. Just wanted to know what you guys thought of it.

Oh it's also my first time posting, so the format of all this is a little wonky. The pictures originate from http://www.dchobbitleague.com/photos.html

It's a site I am a part of and host content.

Your Smaug is amazing! I only hope to see it in person some time...

Don't worry about your link - the photos appear to have posted just fine.

thanks :D it was definitely a difficult assembly and painting, so its fantastic to hear good feedback. I'm anxious to have another opportunity to do him again.

Did you use airbrush or the traditional way? I am a little bit worried about losing the fine lizard texture in the neck when I stuck my brush into it..

Incredible! I would have believed it if it was a Smaug painted by GW's team.
Excellent job! The colours are beautiful! :D

Yes, I was able to airbrush him without any problems. All the small details remained intact. It was definitely something I was concerned with at first as well.

A really amazing looking job on Smaug (the Lake-Town setting is very well done, too). The shading and gradiations look great and you ended up with a really fantastic figure, whether its for gaming or display.
