and here’s the end result… I’m really happy with how it turned out.
Obviously there are things I would like to change or do differently, but for a first attempt I think I achieved what I set out to do and most importantly my daughter loves it

For a bit of interest I added some bones and rusted axe to the stream bed too

Welcome to The Last Alliance, and may I be the first to say

That Golden King!
The water effects!
The fleeing uruk!

Wow.

Thank you guys :)

After I finished my Radagast, I thought I'd make a start on a small good army to fight my Haradrim, so my 6 year old daughter and I can play some small battles :D

She picked Dol Amroth swan knights as her favourite troops so I got cracking on some mounted knights

Really pleased to say my daughter loved the swan knights and was excited to start playing :D
She did however, ask for a female hero for her army. Understandable really and with her now being 7, I’m keen to promote strong female role models for her… so, why not I thought?
This did pose a bit of a problem though, as Dol Amroth doesn't have any female heroes (in fact due to GW stopping production of LOTR, the choice for her army is very small anyway).

So, I decided to try and do a conversion for the first time.
I found a female character for another army, namely Eowyn for Rohan and a captain for Dol Amroth and attempted a head swap…

Here’s the result for the mounted version

When I’d finished the dismounted version of my female captain I managed to find some LOTR lore to even give her a name and background…

So, my female captain now became:

Lothiriel of Dol Amroth

“Lothíriel was the daughter of Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth, and later the wife of King Éomer of Rohan.”

Here's the completed foot conversion too:

I love the lady captain!

That's beautiful! This is art, not wargaming!
I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone.

Thank you Prince Goose :)

Arwen, you flatter me, thank you :)
Funnily enough, whilst painting the lady captain I got totally frustrated with the fact I couldn't get it looking. So much so I got to the point where I was tempted to just throw it in the bin :P

I decided instead to put it to one side for a bit and paint something silly just for fun...
So I painted a tiny mini of a little girl knight… I thought it would be fun for my daughter to have a knight which could be her in the game.
Also gave me an excuse to try a bit of freehand too
