Non-LOTR 'fantasy' diorama on an epic scale

Wed Nov 28, 2012 3:56 pm

The following link was brought to my attention on The Miniatures Page. It concerns a Dutch modeller/artist who has created a jaw-dropping specatacle that might provoke a few ideas amongst gamers and modellers on this forum.

Link is at:

Living in the Netherlands myself, I've been there for quite some times. Every time, I went to see the diorama, because, yes, it is epic! The whole piece is huge and very nicely detailed, as you can see on the pictures. If you google 'Diorama Efteling' you'll find a lot more pics. :)

Wow, this is awesome. Even though i've been in De Efteling a few times, i've never seen this before. Have to check that out when and if I get around to going there again. Thanks for sharing.

Wow thats a fantastic diorama. Reminds me of the miniature cities (that you could walk through and around - buildings were generally as tall as your knees) I visited when I visited the Netherlands several years ago. And also a model railway diorama I visited in a railway museum close to home (Darlington Railway Museum IIRC).
