Saruman is no more

Thu Jun 11, 2015 3:41 pm

Very sad to learn that Sir Christopher Lee - Saruman in the Middle Earth film trilogies - died last weekend, aged 93. I believe that he did a magnificent job in the role, despite dodgy dialogue and dubious scripting, and had a productive and varied life generally. There are not many 'celebrities' that I would miss but he's most certainly one of them.

What a hero, and what a full life he lived.

Christopher Lee even volontered to fight for Finland (my country) in the second World War, but didn't get to front line. I guess it wold have been tricky later on with all sort of peace negotiations if there would have been dead british soldiers. (And we might have missed the Saruman as we know it).
