Just to clarify, I'll be doing only one Warband (x12) as mounted. All the rest will be on foot. That lessens the amount of work and how ambitions the game is going to be to run quite a bit, since I'll probably have all of them completed tonight. Now, I've got to paint up all of those orcs!
It's funny that there are multiple scenarios for this fight in the rules, and they vary a little, even though they depict the same battle. *head scratch*

Some superb conversions you have there!
Looking forward to the battle. Take lots of pictures!

Re: Numenorean Mounted Troops
Well, 3 years later, I FINALLY have actually played a test game of the Gladden Fields scenario using some of my mounted conversion models.

Hooray!
Did you happen to take pictures?

Re: Numenorean Mounted Troops
We didn't play it to conclusion, unfortunately. Time constraints, and not having enough players to move the game along were some of the reasons. I'm going to change a few things for the next iteration in order to make it more playable, and build in some reasons for both sides to do more than just try to destroy the opponents' army.

Re: Numenorean Mounted Troops
Great job on those mounted troops! I would like to do something like this myself eventually, because I love the Numenoreans but they have never received much attention from GW. I recall the first time I saw Fellowship in the theater, with that Last Alliance battle at the beginning, and how awesome it was to see that, especially considering we never thought we would ever see a live action Tolkien film. Gave me shivers.
The Numenoreans go right back to the beginning of the game, too, since they were included in the first boxed version of the LOTR game.
