Goblin Marauder conversion

Sun Mar 13, 2016 10:45 am

I recently restarted the hobby and was really in love with the idea of the marauder models. Problem: GW doesn't produce anymore and the standard conversion (put plastic goblins on plastic wargs) just don't give the right feel, because the plastic warg is static and small. So i got a great idea when I was at my local store: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NL/Sp ... -Wolf-Pack

Bought them, still had a million plastic goblins lying around to be cut up and started to work, and in my opinion the result is pretty pleasing:

Hope you like them.

They're huge, but fixed. Will look in to making pictures smaller for future post

Thanks
Nice, they look very unfriendly! Good use of greenstuff for detailing.
I've also seen a similar conversion done with the wild warg pack, which also came out better than using the old plastic warg models.

I have a broken Wild Warg Chieftain waiting to be used for just this purpose.

Painted example of the other one.

@Shadowlord: I thought about the fell wargs to, but their bulk doesn't hold the three bodies well. These have just the right amount of "mass."

@Kalle: De Warg chieftain is awesome, but I already have an orc captain riding one. And if I want more marauders it becomes mono-pose. Then again, you would have had that to with the original model.

Looking great. So which warg was that? Something from Warhammer Fantasy?

Well that's a great way to save some money!
I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone.
