The Battle of the Gladden

Tue Mar 13, 2012 1:23 pm

Hey guys!

You might or might not have noticed that the site has a new article: The Battle of Gladden. Coën and I made this battle report together.
You can check it out here:
blog.php/?p=400 [broken link]
New working link:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/mpci2zixhtvu3og/The%20Battle%20of%20the%20Gladden%20battle%20report%20fixed.pdf
Click the link to see the pdf file of the battle report.

This battle report is the first part of some more to come. Coën and I have recently started a mini campaign with linked scenarios, created as we go, around the War of the Dwarves and the Orcs. This First Act represents the battle near the springs of the Gladden river high in the Misty Mountains. We used the new High Ground scenario.

The Second Act will be a battle inside these Mines, where Thorin descends to recapture the defiled underground Goblin dwelling.

We do not know yet how many battles will follow after the Second Act, but we are sure that the last battle will be The Battle of Azanulbizar!

I made this topic to advertise for our article and to make a place where you can leave feedback. Enjoy!

Thanks! Coën and I will probably play the next battle in a week or so (don't you think, Coen?).

Hehe, yeah well it's kinda funny because, as you might have expected, in Dutch our names are pronounced exactly the same, it's just the spelling that differs slightly.

These were very well done and very entertaining, can't wait to see more!
...a shapeless fear lived within the ruined walls. The Nine Riders issued forth from the gates of horror, and we could not withstand them. Do not approach their citadel. It is a place of sleepless malice, full of lidless eyes...

Next week perhaps, otherwise certainly the one thereafter!

Thanks for all the nice comments by the way, now I only hope we can live up to the high expectations for the next report!

Your next battle will be set in Feanor's Mines, right? How will you handle the Deployment on those boards? I suppose normal Warband deployment wouldn't work very well.
