I have been waiting for this for a long time, and it was just as good as I thought it would be! It was awesome. The painting, the terrain, the scenario, the writing all great. I especially like the writing part great stuff, the epilogue was the best part of the writing.

I might be wrong but I remember a picture from your mines with an unfinished 3the and maybe 4the floor on it, there was some kind of throne in the middle, am I right? And if I am, how is the work on it going? If I'm wrong, forget about this :P

Thanks a lot guys! Very nice to hear you've liked reading it. Much appreciated. :)

Thanks for the great comments! :)
I love gaming on the board! It allows for a completely new challenge (since the boards are connected by the stairs) and the cramped hallways force you to come up with different tactics. Generally, holding enemies up is easy (especially for Dwarves with shields in narrow passage that counts as a barrier!), but making your way through a hall filled with Goblins is very hard (unless you are Dain or a Vault Warden). This is also why we chose to do objectives: so that I wouldn't just be defending small passages! In the end, I ended up defending them still, but to no end, as you've read.

You're not wrong. ;) I did indeed start on that years ago. Pictures can be found here: Of Rocks and Mithril (scroll down a bit).
I haven't worked on 3rd and 4th floor since then. Couldn't get the motivation, because the huge amount of work I've planned is really unmotivating. Also, since my summer break is drawing to an end, I guess I won't work on it for *some* time..
Still, I did some small stuff to make the mines look less bare. Check out the link above. ;)

Should be back when the articles are put onto the new site (I hope!), but I'll see if I can upload them on some other place for now...

EDIT: This should work:

First Act: Battle of the Gladden (2.44 MB)
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/58484736/The%2 ... 0fixed.pdf

Second Act: Descending into the Mines (6.96 MB)
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/58484736/Desce ... 20V1.0.pdf

Enjoy!

Third Act is played, by the way ;)

Funny how you used Durburz's profile for Azog, when you compare that to the profile he has right now... :P

Thanks for the feedback guys! :) As Coen said, the third battle has been played and we will soon(ish) start working on it (won't we, Coen?).

I don't think it's funny, I think it's ridiculous how strong Azog is in the Hobbit.. :( Durburz's profile is much more fitting I think.
