Re: Descending Into The Mines (battle report)

Thanks, I doubt if any of those models will feature in an upcoming report though by the way - if I found them somewhere for 50-70% off or so I would consider them for some conversions (as I like the style of neither in whole), but under the current circumstances, nah.
I am considering a conversion (and some houserules) to show Azog at Azanulbizar, but the design will defintely be different from PJ/GW's Azog, and more in line with the description we have in the book: he will wear a proper amount of armour (obviously lacking on the movie design) and, while I'm at it, probably have a sword, as it is described he killed Nain by hewing at his neck - something that sounds like something done with an axe or sword.
Besides, while bigger than other orcs, I don't see the need for a 7' tall goblin...
I'm considering a conversion based on the Durburz model (who of course currently represents Azog), though I won't rule out an entirely new sculpt (depending on available time and if I can get a cheap Durburz somewhere).

As for the report, studying no longer is on the agenda from today onwards, so now it's just a matter of dividing the available time over other responsibilities, painting the huge piles of unpainted models, starting new projects, reading one of the 20+ books I want to read, enjoying the nice weather (while it lasts..) and somewhere in between writing some stuff for that battle report! ;)

REALLY looking forward to the next report :)
Be he foe or friend, be he foul or clean,

brood of Morgoth or bright Vala,

Elda or Maia or Aftercomer,

neither law, nor love, nor league of swords,

dread nor danger, not Doom itself,

shall defend him from Fëanor, and Fëanor's kin,

It seems the long waiting has finally, after all those months, come to an end!
Coën and I will very soon finish the report and publish it here. Keep a close eye. ;)

That genuinely is the very longly anticipated next installment of the WotDatO series.
Enjoy!

Oh my eyes!!!

It has arrived! I don't mind how long it took, I love your bat reps (I lost count of how many times I read your last ones...).

I shall leave with quote for the impatient amongst us  :

Hopefully, one day, somewhere, when you least expect it...

Slightly more accurately, not any time soon. The two of us have very few opportunities to meet up these days, and little time to work on much at all. There are faint plans and many, many ideas, however. It would be nice to work on something again.. who knows what the future holds.

Thank you they are really good.
I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone.
