About this profile

Image

This represents the dwarf ram riding cavalry seen in the Battle of Five armies.

Compared to Knight of Dol Amroth on Armoured Horse (18pts)

The stats are the same except
Rider speed -1, mount speed -2
Access to buy D7 shield (+1pt)
Different special rule (mountain dweller vs Dol Amroth for Gondor)

OK when it's fully upgraded, the Ram Rider is Defence 7, with an axe and lance, and will cost 20 points. That sounds very tasty, but not OP because the price is right.
200 points for 10 ram riders.. yeah.

Points, rules, theme and style. All spot on

10/10 wouldn't change a single thing with this profile.

Love it :)

The fully loaded price will now be 19.

I think the price dropping by one point was fair. It can be higher defence than Dol Amroth for the same price, but 2' and no imrahil-style reroll makes it fair. In a fight the Dwarf Ram vs Dol Amroth would be in favour of Dol Amroth (if the Prince is alive and in range), but the Dwarf is much better vs things like Urukhai and morannon orcs.
Yep 17 is better than 18.

Yeh when I playtested versing lockys lake town , the 2 inches less made a big deal. I also found that the defence 7 wasn't really a big deal , locky was still killing alot . But the pricing is fair now, I will need to have another game with them.
